The ground effects package includes a racing-inspired front splitter, rocker extensions and a rear diffuser. They are prototype parts that may enter production as dealer-available accessories at a later date; the same goes for the 21-inch wheels from BBS. Many of the details, such as the taillamp and fog lamp bezels, match the finish of the wheels, lending a more premium look to the car.

Today’s young professionals expect advanced technology and premium audio options and this concept delivers with a crisp, well-tuned Boston Acoustics sound system, WiFi connectivity and a convenient cradle for an iPhone.
Camaro designers dreamed up half a dozen proposals for accessory graphics packages, with the intent of soliciting feedback from Camaro enthusiasts for possible production. Chevrolet then launched the graphics campaign in mid-October, asking Camaro fans on Facebook to pick their favorite design.
The top four designs were produced and brought to the SEMA Convention, where a Silver Ice Metallic Camaro will wear each contender on a different day. At the conclusion of the convention, after thousands of enthusiasts see the graphics on the car in person and on Facebook, another round of voting will occur. The top vote-getter will be considered for future production.

“Camaro has thousands of fans on the various social media sites and this is a great way to demonstrate that Chevrolet is connected to our customers,” said Dewar. “With so many great designs to choose from, we’re sure the voting will be close, but whatever the outcome, the real winners will be the customers who personalize their Camaro with the winning graphics package.”
The Camaro Graphics display vehicle will be located prominently in the GM display during the SEMA Convention, starting on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009. At the close of the convention each day, the graphics package will be changed.

The Corvette Grand Sport is available in both coupe and convertible body styles, with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The LS3 6.2L engine is rated at 430 horsepower (321 kW) and 424 lb.-ft. of torque (575 Nm) with the standard exhaust system. An optional two-mode exhaust system raises the power output to 436 horses (325 kW) and 428 lb.-ft. (580 Nm).
The 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport which was introduced at the 12th annual C5/C6 Corvette Birthday Bash, held at the National Corvette Museum, in Bowling Green, Ky. combines the Corvette’s LS3-based powertrain with unique, wide-body styling and a racing-derived suspension.

The Grand Sport replaces the Corvette’s previous Z51 package and brings a greater degree of handling performance, with wider wheels and tires; revised shock, stabilizer bar and spring specifications; and specific gearing. The equipment enables cornering capability of 1.0 g, as well as a 0.2-second improvement in 0-60 acceleration over the standard .
With its special equipment, the Corvette Grand Sport offers a unique blend of performance and amenities. Its suspension package approaches that of the Z06, but includes a removable roof on coupes (Z06 has a fixed roof) and, of course, the availability of a convertible body style. Also, the paddle-shift six-speed automatic transmission is offered, while a manual transmission is the only choice with the Z06. Essentially the Grand Sport sits somewhere between the standard C6 Corvette and the Z06 Corvette for performance and comfort.
Corvette Grand Sport coupe models equipped with the manual transmission are uniquely outfitted for race track competition, too, with a dry-sump oiling system, differential cooler and a rear-mounted battery - this is the model you want to go for, otherwise you're wasting your money and may as well get the standard model.

Release for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.
Built on GM’s new, global rear-wheel-drive architecture, the Camaro is offered in V-6- powered LS and LT models, as well as the V-8-powered SS. All models and powertrain combinations include fuel-saving six-speed transmissions.
Advanced powertrain technologies, including engines with direct injection and Active Fuel Management, enable a satisfying balance of exhilarating performance and good fuel economy.
Indeed, the 2010 Camaro exemplifies GM’s global development process. The design concept originated in the United States; engineering was directed by GM’s global rear- wheel-drive team in Australia; validation was conducted on roads around the world and assembly will take place at GM’s award-winning Oshawa facility in Canada.
Product highlights include:
Sleek styling with contemporary cues and 10 available exterior colors
LS and LT models offered with an advanced, 3.6L direct-injected V-6 engine with variable valve timing and a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions
SS model offered with 6.2L V-8 – including fuel-saving Active Fuel Management on automatic-equipped combinations – and a six-speed manual transmission

XM Satellite Radio
Additionally, details such as frameless door windows with automatic indexing glass contribute to the overall feeling of quality, substance and technical prowess.
With a design that is very faithful to the original concept, the 2010 Camaro is a 21st century sports car that acknowledges its heritage. A long front dash-to-axle and short rear deck give the Camaro classic proportions, while a sleek windshield profile, wheels pushed to the corners and muscular fender forms are modern elements that reinforce its advanced engineering – and give the car a decidedly aggressive stance.
Elements such as a forward-V shape at the front of the car and “gills” in the rear quarter panels are distinctly Camaro cues, as are the broad rear fender “shoulders.” Those elements make the new Camaro instantly recognizable, but their execution is smoothly integrated into the contemporary exterior form. A family of large, 18-, 19- and 20-inch wheels also contributes to the Camaro’s modern appearance.
A well-executed balance of heritage, modern design and attention to detail also characterizes the Camaro’s interior. A pair of deeply recessed instrument binnacles that
feature round gauges in square housings is a nod to classic Camaros, while an available ambient light package offers advanced LED light pipe technology to give the cabin a distinctive and inviting glow. Cloth upholstery is standard; heated leather-appointed seats are available.
Details such as large, chrome-trimmed controls, low-gloss surfaces and premium fabric or acrylic appliqués convey a richness that is unprecedented in previous Camaro models – and challenge its contemporary competitors. More great detail is evidenced in the available center-console gauge cluster, which takes its cue from a similar option on 1969 Camaros. It displays oil temperature, oil pressure, state-of-battery and transmission fluid temperature, all highlighted with modern LED backlighting.
Powertrains
An advanced, efficient 3.6L direct-injected V-6 with variable valve timing is standard on LS and LT models. direct injection technology helps the engine deliver more power through increased efficiency, while maintaining fuel economy and lowering emissions. That means less fuel is consumed and lower emissions generated – including a 25- percent drop in cold-start hydrocarbon emissions.
The Camaro’s 3.6L engine also employs variable valve timing to optimize performance and fuel economy across the rpm range. It is rated at an estimated 300 horsepower (224 kW) and 273 lb.-ft. of torque (370 Nm). A six-speed manual transmission is standard with the 3.6L engine; a Hydra-Matic 6L50 electronically controlled six-speed automatic, with TAPshift control, is available.
The high-performance Camaro SS is equipped with a powerful 6.2L V-8, with a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Standard, manual transmission-equipped models receive the LS3 engine, estimated at 422 horsepower (315 kW) and 408 lb.-ft. of torque (553 Nm). The LS3 debuted on the 2008 Corvette and uses high-flow cylinder heads based on the Corvette Z06’s LS7 engine to enable great low-end torque and high-rpm power. It is paired with a TR6060 six-speed transmission.
A new, L99 V-8 engine is used on automatic transmission-equipped SS models. It is based on the LS3 and carries all of its high-performance design features, but also includes GM’s fuel-saving Active Fuel Management feature. It enables the engine to run on only four cylinders during light-load driving conditions, such as highway cruising, to improve fuel economy. The V-8 is estimated at 400 horsepower (299 kW) and 395 lb.-ft. of torque (535 Nm); and it is matched with a Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed transmission. This combination delivers an estimated 23 mpg on the highway.

Dave Hill, chief engineer of the Corvette and vehicle line executive for GM Performance Cars. The C6 represents a comprehensive upgrade to the Corvette. The Corvette C6 was introduced in 2005 to replace the outgoing C5 (1997 - 2004) model.
Blends technical sophistication with expressive style The sixth generation Corvette. Five inches shorter than the C5, the C6 Corvette cuts a tighter, more taut profile – with virtually no loss of usable space. More than just visual, the new dimensions make the car more agile and “tossable,” with upgrades in handling, acceleration and braking. At 0.28 coefficient of drag, the C6 is the most aerodynamically efficient Corvette ever and has improved anti-lift characteristics that enable improved high-speed stability and confidence.

A new LS2 6.0-liter small-block V-8 is the standard engine in the Corvette C6. It is based on GM’s new Gen IV small-block family of engines.
The LS2 raises the bar for standard performance in the Corvette, delivering estimated peak output levels of 400 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. It is the largest, most powerful standard small-block engine ever offered in Corvette.

ZO6 Chevrolet Corvette The most powerful passenger car engine.
The Corvette Z06 is the fastest, most powerful car ever offered by Chevrolet and General Motors. It is comprised of an unprecedented level of capability and technology, making it one of the greatest performance values on the market.Chevrolet introduced the Corvette Z06 at the North American International Auto Show.
The Corvette Z06’s powertrain and drivetrain systems are matched to the LS7’s performance capability. The light, four-into-one headers discharge in to new, close-coupled catalytic converters and through to new “bi-modal” mufflers. The mufflers each feature a vacuum-actuated outlet valve, which controls exhaust noise during low-load operation but opens for maximum power.
With 500 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, The ZO6 is the most powerful passenger car engine ever produced by Chevrolet and GM. The LS7 is easily identified under the hood by red engine covers with black lettering.

The aerodynamics of the Corvette Z06’s exterior were shaped by the experiences of the Corvette racing program, where high-speed stability and cornering capability are paramount. And while the racecars use large rear wings, the Z06’s elevated spoiler provides sufficient downforce to balance the road-worthy front splitter without adversely affecting aerodynamic drag. The Z06’s Cd is 0.31.
For all its race-inspired functionality, the Corvette Z06 is designed to be a daily drivable high-performance vehicle. To that end, comfort and convenience are held to a very high standard. HID lighting, fog lamps, leather seating, dual-zone air conditioning, cabin air filtration and Head-Up Display (HUD) with track mode and g-meter are standard.

The MK IV Chevrolet Camaro retained the same layout as the very first Camaro's back in 1967, 2-doors, 2+2 seating, rear-wheel drive, choice of V6 and V8 powerplants, and available in both coupe and convertible forms (the convertible was introduced in 1994).
The fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro debuted for the 1993 model year on the previous generation Camaro platform.

The MK4 Camaro featured the 5.7 L (350 cid) LT1 V8 engine that had been introduced in the Corvette one year earlier, as well as an optional six-speed manual transmission. The 1998 model year was refreshed and revised with both exterior and engine changes. Replacing the LT1 was GM's all-new 5.7 L (346 cid) LS1 which had been introduced with the Corvette C5.
The Camaro is to return in 2009 however as a retro styled sports coupe.
The fourth-gen Camaro would last up through the 2002 model year, at which point production was stopped due to slow sales.

Introduction
Long overdue for replacement, the decade-old Cavalier is finally being succeeded by not one but two cars--the bargain-basement, Korean-built Aveo and the bigger, better, America-made Cobalt. Introduced as a 2005 model, the Cobalt is GM's most ambitious attempt to date to go fender-to-fender with compact Asian imports. Although it shares the Delta platform with the widely scorned Saturn Ion, the Cobalt has proved to be an exemplar of what GM engineers can accomplish, staying true to Chevrolet values while advancing a cost-sensitive product to the center of a hotly contested segment. Solidly built, suitably refined, and attractively priced, it's an American car that can compete with its foreign rivals. The Cobalt is offered as either a coupe or sedan, both available in Base and LS trim. The high-line LT is unique to the sedan. High-performance fans are served by the dramatic SS coupe, which boasts a demeanor worthy of "The Fast and the Furious" through its bodywork, suspension tuning, potent supercharger, and sporty interior touches.
Exterior
Chevrolet describes the exterior design of the Cobalt as "clean and uncluttered, with a tailored, refined execution." In other words, it's boring. Unfortunately, there's still enough Cavalier in the Cobalt's styling DNA to scream "Avis Vacation Special." But to be fair, the inoffensive sheetmetal is arguably more appealing than that of competitors like the Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra. The generously sized wheels and tires--195/60R15s on the Base model and LS and 205/55R16s on the LT--look great. Drivers looking for more visual panache should consider the more-aggressive-looking SS, which rides on low-profile 18-inch tires and benefits from an in-your-face (and in-your-rear-mirror) rear wing that looks like the calling card of a Hot Import Nights car show.
Interior
General Motor's interiors have long set the standard for frugality. By this standard, the Cobalt is not merely a revelation but a genuine miracle. Sure, there's a lot of plastic, but it looks and feels good, and the fit and finish are in the hunt with the best in class. Much of the switchgear is a cut above the GM norm. The mostly plain cabin is dressed up with well-intended touches such as chrome trim around the gauges and stereo controls, but don't look too closely--it's plastic and appears cheaply wrought. The seats are upholstered in high-quality cloth, but while the front units are comfortable, rear legroom is a bit cramped even in the four-door sedan. Air conditioning, a rear-window defroster, CD player, and tilt steering are all standard in even the base model. Moving up to the LS gets you cruise control, keyless entry, and power everything, while the LT comes with leather, heated seats, and a thumping Pioneer audio system. The interior motif of the SS is "Speed Racer" Lite, from the leather-wrapped shift lever to an A-pillar-mounted boost gauge. An MP3 player is also part of the SS product mix.
Safety
Safety is an area where manufacturers can cut costs in ways consumers often overlook--a common tactic in the small-car wars. The Cobalt is as good as, if not better than, most of its competition on the safety-equipment front. The standard brake configuration puts large vented discs up front and composite drums in the rear. All trims except Base feature four-channel anti-lock brakes with rear proportioning as standard equipment; it's a recommended option on Base. Dual front airbags are found across the board, and side-curtain airbags are available. Typical of this class, stability control is not available. In case of emergency, the optional OnStar in-vehicle safety and security service can provide an extra measure of comfort.
