Very solid and smooth. Great improvement compared
by First Mercede from Houston, TX (11/08/07)
Pros: Very solid and smooth. Great improvement compare to the previous model.
Cons: Nothing to complain. Little bit more room in the back sit will make it perfect
best price value car i never have. The new 2008 mercede C class is better than BMW 3s and Infiniti G35.
1st on the island!
by Divinity4258 from Honolulu, Hawaii (11/08/07)
Pros: EVERYTHING!!!
Cons: NONE THAT I COULD COMPLAIN ABOUT!
Well, I just test drove the MB 300 C-Class Sport today and i'm loving everything about it. My car is currently being shipped to hawaii and i receive it next week thursday. From what they told me, my car will be the first one on the island to have the multi-media package! I cant wait being that this willl be my first mercedes (palladium silver on black). Congrats to me!!!
so BENZ-like! so, politically correct, yuck
by shabat44 from chicago (11/08/07)
Pros: hybrid? who needs it. economy? benz-like. you expected more? you must be kidding!
Cons: ride is econo-box!
for the money, this is a lively benz, if there is such a thing! my former car is a '97 lincoln mark viii. outrun all the euro-funk? for sure!
benz ride, handling? middling, for sure!
mark viii, except for the big audis, the top, and i mean, very top, benz's, the big vettes, NO contest in handling and driveability.
Great deal for what you get
by George from Los Angeles, CA (11/06/07)
Pros: GPS, multi media system, sound system
Just got my c300 black on black with P2, multimedia package, and 18" AMG tires about a week ago. This car is awesome! Although I would like to have a bit more hp, but living in LA, i rarely need the extra hp anyways. Seats are firm and comfortable. Multimedia package is great, Harmon Kardon sound system is fantastic. Average gas mileage is about 18 but mostly city driving. Very smooth ride, nice acceleration, steering is responsive. Very much so a head turner!
It's Benz from here on out!!
by Big Demi from San Ramon, CA (11/05/07)
Pros: It's the world benchmark for class/prestige/elegance.
Cons: No scan button for the radio, are you kidding me??!!
Owned GTI's for many years and had a blast driving them. Now with a wife and 3 kids it's time for a nicer bigger car.
I love my Benz, many reasons, but first and foremost, it makes me feel like King of The Road. Great seating position and good power, not ample but more than enough. And the big Benz star embedded in the grille is simeply to-die-for.
But no scan button for the radio stations in a Mercedes Benz? That's heart-breaking!! Also a compass should be standard as well as rear view mirror dimming feature. I had much cheaper cars with all this and more as standard options.
Love the Car.
by David Cobb from Lenexa, Kansas (11/05/07)
Pros: Great look, solid feel on the road and QUIET!
Cons: Seats are hard.
Sport 300 4 Matic, took a 500 mile trip avg 25.8 with speeds from 60 to 80 mph. Very easy to drive and the Harmon Kardon stereo is the best. The car handled great and the power was more than enough for passing and getting on the freeways. I had to squirm around a little in the seat to feel comfortable and noticed how hard they were compared to my Eddie Bauer Ford Expidition seats. Would have been nice if leather was included in the seats and a little more comfort. Every thing else is about the car is superb and worth every dollar.
SMOOTH AS SILK WITH TUNES THAT WILL ROCK YOU!!!
by Jim from Boise Idaho (11/02/07)
Pros: Smooth as silk!! Beautiful appearance, i mean have you seen it? It's so aggressive!! Awesome sound
Cons: No memory seats, otherwise AWESOME!!!
I've seached and researched, I kept coming back to this model. I find it very aggressive and stylish. Mercedes, to me, has always been an"old mans" looking sedan car. Never could compete with BMW or even Acura TL (my former car) Well they've finally have come up with a solution! Great job! Not only does the car look great it rides and handles like you're on a rail. If that doesn't get you the 450w harmon kardon system will make your jaw drop. It's incredible, especially with a DVD-A format 5.1 surround that kicks butt!! I've owned quite a few top notch sedans over the years, but this one is a favorite!!!
Why I love my Mercedes
by carlover from Baltimore, MD (11/01/07)
Pros: Brought it with 6 speed transmission. I love my Mercedes, the 4th time is the charm.
Cons: Turbo should be an option. Shorter gear box.
No body roll, awesome handling. Braking is excellent. Smooth, quiet and enjoyable to drive or ride in.
Thank you MB for bringing back a true MB.
by SRay from Charlotte, NC (10/27/07)
Pros: Smooth, strong, quite and built like a tank.
Cons: None so far. But I didn't mind to have smart key, no big deal.
Thi is a reveiw for 2008 MB C 300 Luxury.
If you ever drove a 80's 300 and liked it, you will fall in love with this one. Mercedes is back.
There is no comparison between this C and the previous one. I owened a 2002 C320 few years ago and I got rid of it in a year. I am so glad that I trade my 2006 BMW 325 for this car. My BMW was such a noisy car that practically a truck sounded beter. After two years of diagnosis they (Hendrick BMW in Charlotte, NC) finally found out that run flat tires were the problems and factory forgot to install the air vent under the car. It took them 2 years to figure it out????
Back to C300, It is extremly comfortable. It is fast but smooth. you don't feel the car is going 80 or 85. Dash is designed well and everything is where it should be. Big dials for climate control with 'Off' button is plus. I don't have a GPS in mine but the radio is nice and the rotory button on the console is a very good feature. I don't have leather seats and but I don't care either.
Overall this is what MB used to be and should be.
2008 Sport 300 4matic
by Casey from Arlington, VA (10/26/07)
Pros: Sharp looks, smooth ride and COMMAND system w/navi, Ipod ready
Cons: Interior could use a little more upgrade in luxury.
I have only had the 300 sport 4matic for a couple of days but I love it. Previously, I drove a BMW 325xi (still have it). The ride is nice in the 300, and with pkg 2 & the Multimedia pkg, the car delivers a great driving experience. Acceleration is adequate as I don't pound the gas at the light. My BMW has been great but with the new 3 series mandatory run flat tires with NO SPARE, I couldn't justify spending the extra money. The C-class delivers awesome value for the money.
